Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina

The Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina at Lake Waccamaw - Jaycee Cottage

The Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina is a privately funded non-sectarian, not-for-profit agency that provides a "family" environment for as long as is necessary and practical for children needing an out-of-home setting. The homes provide shelter, food, clothing, education, emotional support and moral/ethical/spiritual guidance to the children. The campus is located on Lake Waccamaw in southeastern North Carolina.

How Chapters Can Help

There are three ways you and your chapter can help the Boys in our cottage:

  1. Raise Funds - Run a fundraiser project such as an auction, bake sale, car wash, etc. Get matching contributions from your members' employers and other local companies.
  2. Donate gifts in kind - Donated items count the same as cash, just complete a "Gifts in Kind" form.
  3. 3. Social activities with the Girls - send birthday cards, attend birthday parties at the cottage or visit the cottage at other times. Invite the girls to your town for sporting events, family days, etc. Make the Girls extra manpower on fun projects like your haunted house. Do something special for the Girls who are from your hometown. .
